Catalytic Converter Construction:

What is a Catalytic Converter?
The catalytic converter is an anti-pollution device located in the exhaust system of all modern motor vehicles. Its purpose is to convert harmful environmental exhaust gasses (pollutants) produced in the engine's combustion cycle into harmless substances like carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapour. The main pollutants inclue carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides. These pollutants are harmful to both human health and the environment. The catalytic coverter contains a ceramic or stainless steel metallic matrix (substrate) covered by a coating containing catalysts, Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium. Under elevated temperature these catalysts cause reactions that oxidise and reduce the pollutants.

Cateran uses OEM-grade substrate and the most advanced OEM-grade coating and catalyst technology to effectively reduce pollutants while maintaining low cost.
